About VeenaVaadini

The Organization and our Mission:

VeenaVaadini is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting traditional Indian art forms. We organize events to showcase established artists and intermediate and advanced students of all ages pursuing:

Hindustani Music

VeenaVaadini is a PVSA Certifying Organization. Our organization participates in the President’s Volunteer Service Award program through Points of Light.

How it started:

My name is Veena Krishnan and I am a student of Indian classical music and dance. With the blessings of my guru Sri. Aneesh V Bhat and my parents, I started an online platform called VeenaVaadini on April 14th, 2020. We started VeenaVaadini with a goal to encourage and provide opportunities for budding Carnatic musicians in the intermediate and advanced level.

What we do:

VeenaVaadini hosts in-person and online concerts by inviting eminent artists and budding talents to perform. VeenaVaadini has been on Zoom, with rasikas sharing their appreciations and blessings in the chat, on YouTube, where events are premiered or streamed live, and in-person in the US and India.

Our Weekend Recital Series began with events every weekend, and now happens one weekend each month. It features short concerts by various artists. We also host special events such as Navarathiri Celebrations, Vinayaka Chathurthi, Krishna Jayanthi, and Pongal celebrations, Lec Dem/Discussions, and Margazhi Utsavam.
